Depicting the architects work coupled with the interior designer’s vision Logan photographically captures the essence of what it is to live in these spaces. With the structural elements and internal furnishings, a balanced approach is taken to describe photographically not only the space, but also who and what kind of person would live in the homes.
Logan has been working in collaboration with architects, home owners, interior designers and stylists to do interior photography for over 10 years now. Working with a team to create images that also tell a story of the space and how the rooms function in real life but also creating an aspirational lifestyle feel. Frequently Logan is working with journalists, editors and home owners get get houses featured in magazines newspapers and colour supplements like The Sunday Times, Living, Homes and Gardens. This is another element that is added into Logan’s photographs as each magazine has their style of shoot they like to publish. I think they key for his is to show how the interiors work in real life and express the personality of the person who lives in them. As with his lifestyle photography and Logan’s video work he takes quite a liniare minimalist approach to the composition. He wants to explain the spaces simply using clean forms to make up the picture, much like his architectural work.
