Giles Pike Architectual Feature in Dezeen

The full feature can be read here.

There was a small window of good weather back in February in London and I took this opportunity to do a bit of architectural photography for Giles Pike Architects

This is a timber clad chapel style house built on a end bit of disused garden. As this was a small plot the cleaver thing that the architects did was flip the house and put the bedroom on the lower ground floor and the main living spaces and kitchen on the ground and first floor.

The long windows crate amazing shadows at different times of day with long shards of light coming across the living spaces. This gives a real sense of life and space to the rooms. For me the timber cladding really give the building a unique north european feel in South West London.

It’s great to be working with long standing clients Giles Pike again. They always create a range or work and taking photographs for them is always a collaborative process, i really like this with clients to work together to come up with a set of images.
